English Tea Bridal Shower

A few months ago my beautiful bridesmaids coordinated an adorably and incredibly aptly themed English Tea Bridal Shower.

Those who have known me for a long time know I adore all the cute english tea cups and rain coats and gorgeous architecture and accents and and and … well its a problem mostly. Anyhow, these girls did their best to create a tea party for me in the middle of July in San Diego.

My sweet friend Tuyen even made this gorgeous “High Tea with the Bride-to-Be” sign I almost died over. Don’t you think she should sell these on etsy?! This sign greeted guests as they walked in.

Directly underneath was an opportunity for people to leave sweet messages, which they did. I was so overwhelmed when I read them at home.

Everything was adorable and sweet!

Really though the photos don’t even do it justice. Everything was so gorgeous, it brought tears to my eyes. IMG_5233

It was simple, but so elegant.

I didn’t get to take as many photos as I would have liked because I just got swept up in the day. One thing I didn’t get a picture of was the absolutely amazing sweet iced tea my friend Melissa made. Peach Bourbon Iced Tea to be exact. It was a great thing to have because July in San Diego is not your typical tea weather! It was made of english breakfast tea, peach nectar, frozen peaches, mint and bourbon. Bomb.com

And all of the cupcakes were made by my MOH and bestie! How cute are these little roses.

So sweet. I loved every minute of it <333333

Brunch with Bebe: French Countryside Inspired Baby Shower Invitation

A good friend of mine who is a huge lover of all things french is having a baby girl this fall. I was tasked with designing the invitations for her baby shower. While ultimately we went with another design, this one is by far my favorite. And, since we went with a different design, I can share this one with you now!

Exquisite Weddings Magazine: Kate Spade Inspired Bridal Shower

Hi all! I’m so very excited!! A few months back a good friend of mine Danielle asked me if I would be a part of a collaborative effort to put together an inspiration shoot for a Kate Spade themed bridal shower.

Of course I said yes! In fact, that is where the inspiration for the Pink Champagne package came from! It started as my contribution for this project and grew from there.

IMG_1809I designed the paper goods. This means the invitations and any signage or name cards that you see were done by yours truly.

And now?! The coolest thing ever happened. Exquisite Weddings Magazine picked up our shoot and featured it on their website!!!

Pink Champagne

Wedding Season is upon us! And you know what that means BRIDAL SHOWERS!

I love love love bridal showers, they’re so beautiful and girly in ways even weddings can’t be at times. You can go full girl on that thing, all pinks, glitters, whatever you’re frilly little heart desires. There’s no worrying that the groom will go into overload.

One thing I hate about bridal showers, is the cost incurred by the bridesmaids and more specifically the maid of honor. The poor MOH has to put on a fantastic event even though she may not necessarily have the total funds to put on said soiree.

Since my experience as a maid of honor back when I was in college and working part time for part time pay, I’ve been looking for ways to help cut costs for bridesmaids. One thing that always stuck out to me was how expensive/time consuming it was to find and collect the decorations and games. It had to be easier than that!!

I designed the Pink Champagne Party Pack for that reason. Its totally pink and fun and girly and all your stuff comes in a zip file you can take to kinkos and have them print for you. Its got your games, food labels, party favor instructions, all in one spot and for only $15.

You can instantly download the file and print it right from home or send it to a printer and have it by the next day. Its super cost effective and time effective.

Its my first party pack for a bridal shower and I’m not sure people are into the whole pack as a printable item. Do you have thoughts? Are you an instant, affordable printable kind of person? Or do you prefer paying more for a physical item and getting something in the mail at the end of the week?

The Cream in my Coffee

My honey and I got engaged in November after having been together for almost NINE YEARS! High school sweethearts! I wanted our engagement photos to be fun and unique.

Anyone who knows me, knows there is only one thing I love almost as much as I love Jason and that is COFFEEEE! My life’s motto is “Caffeination is motivation” and yes, you can hashtag that ;).

Well my loving fiancé went along with my theme of love and caffeine and we did our engagement shoot outdoors to incorporate his long for sunshine and scenery. Its styled perfectly to suit us both.

I realized after talking to a friend yesterday, that I never really posted them online or shared them in anyway. I think its time don’t you?!

ImageImageImageImageImageImageOur friend Cole is trying to get his photog business off the ground, so he offered to take our photos for us. if you like them, check out his website at: http://coletranphotography.com/

Let me know your thoughts? Love the coffee theme? Too  caffeinated for your taste? Feel free to like/share/repost! Pin that ish!! ❤

See you next time,
miss em!

Monster Birthday Bash!!

Last month I had the incredible honor of attending the first birthday party for the son of my best friend and fellow blogger Christina (From The (Mostly True) Story of Life as a Mommy)!
This girl did an amazing job! The Monster Bash themed birthday was decked out from floor to ceiling. I was so ecstatic when she asked if I’d take pictures. This party was so cool I just had to share it with all of you!!
Kevin says HI!!!
She did an amazing job with everything, you could hardly recognize the clubhouse!
The green box was a time capsule! Such a cool idea. Guests were asked to bring items from today to fill the capsule for Kevin to open on his 18th birthday. I helped her with the insert for the invitation set and its now for sale on my etsy store!

This crazily creative mama even made these amazing cakes herself from scratch!! Check out the fur on the Sully one!
Kevin thought it was delish!!
I just had to get a picture with this little cutie man. I consider Kev a nephew since Christina is basically my sister. I was so happy she let me play Auntie Em and smother him with love that day!!
Here he is with Gramma and Grampa. I love this one because it looks like he’s explaining everything about this whole cake thing to them. Just look at his cute little face. So funny I can’t stand it!!
I love how confused he is. You want me to EAT that?!
He’s such a happy baby i love it!
Christina had an amazing high chair set up with a cool backdrop for him to eat his first birthday cake in total style! I love everything she did!
This was one happy kid on his birthday! Christina did a kick ass job! How she manages to be an amazing full time student, work, and be an amazing full time mom is beyond me.
So glad I got to share this with you all. I though the photos turned out great, pretty proud of them. I think she probably thinks I forgot about uploading the photos since its been like a month, but, you know, life and things kept creeping up. Better late than never right?
Until next time friends!
